Everton are yet to make a signing this summer under Marco Silva.

Cenk Tosun of Everton looks on during the Premier League match between Everton and Southampton at Goodison Park on May 5, 2018 in Liverpool, England.

Everton striker Cenk Tosun has given his opinion on two potential Toffees transfers in an interview with Turkish newspaper Sabah, regarding the futures of Davy Klaassen and Domagoj Vida.

Klaassen, 25, has been linked with a move to SuperLig giants Besiktas this summer after his £25million move to Everton from Ajax last summer ended in failure. He managed just seven Premier League appearances all season.

On the other hand, Besiktas powerhouse Vida’s stock has never been higher after shining for Croatia at the World Cup, helping his country reach the final only to lose to France 4-2.

Tosun said he had spoken to Klaassen about a move to Besiktas, but said the midfielder is not interested in a move to the SuperLig. He also expects that Everton would speak to him, before moving for Vida after playing with him at Besiktas.

“I think if Vida wanted to go to Everton, they would at least want to get my idea,” Tosun said. “Klaassen is a very good football player. He come to Besiktas? I do not think Turkey. He closed the topic.”

Antoine Griezmann of France challenges Domagoj Vida of Croatia during the 2018 FIFA World Cup Final between France and Croatia at Luzhniki Stadium on July 15, 2018 in Moscow, Russia.

Vida only joined Besiktas in January, signing a four-and-a-half-year deal, but is now said to be the target of a handful of Premier League teams – Sabah previously claimed that Liverpool, Leicester and Everton want the £26.5million-rated star.

Everton could do with a centre-back, after Ashley Williams suffered an injury on international duty with Wales. Phil Jagielka is only getting older, while Michael Keane is yet to prove his £25million transfer fee.

Klaassen looks set to leave unless he can show he is worthy of a second chance in pre-season, after almost joining Serie A side Napoli in January only for image rights to reportedly scupper a deal.
