The new Everton striker is eager to become the club’s new goalscoring hero.

Everton have certainly lacked a major goalscoring threat up front since the departure of Romelu Lukaku last summer and Cenk Tosun is determined to fill that void.
Lukaku scored 87 goals in total for Everton, with the Belgian producing some excellent performances, which earned him a move to Manchester United.
Tosun, who joined from Besiktas earlier this month, feels that he can match Lukaku’s achievements at Goodison Park.
As reported by goal, Tosun said: “Lukaku did really well here but I am hoping to score as many goals as I can and do well. Of course I think I can do it.

“It doesn’t put a lot of pressure on me. It is a great honour. I would like to become a great role model for all the other players in Turkey.
“I regard this league as the best in the world. It is fast and strong here and the ball is always moving. My character as a player is suitable to this kind of football.”
Tosun made his Everton debut in the 4-0 defeat away to Tottenham Hotspur last weekend, and, while the result may not have gone as planned, the Turkish striker still showed some encouraging signs, especially with his link-up play.

The 26-year-old will be determined to get off the mark as quickly as possible, and Saturday’s game at home to West Bromwich Albion represents an inviting opportunity for him to do just that.
Tosun may not be completely similar to Lukaku in terms of playing style, but he is certainly capable of establishing himself as a very important player for Everton, who are determined to get back to winning ways after three successive Premier League defeats.
