Everton are said to be have made contact over signing Besiktas midfielder Oguzhan Ozyakup.

According Turkish Football, Everton are chasing Besiktas midfielder Oguzhan Ozyakup and Cenk Tosun could hold the key in the transfer.

Everton are said to be keen to sign Ozyakup, who has impressed at Besiktas this season.

And, as a friend of Tosun’s, Everton may have an advantage to persuade the midfielder into a move to Goodison Park.

Tosun started slowly at Everton after signing, but he is starting to look at home on Merseyside now.

And if the striker offers his former teammate glowing reports about life at Everton, then surely the move will only become even more tempting.

Ozyakup would increase Everton’s midfield options, if he was to arrive at Goodison Park.

The midfielder has played 31 times for Besiktas this season, across all competitions, and claimed six assists during those displays.

Ozyakup does actually have experience of playing in English football, as he developed at Arsenal before moving to Besiktas back in 2012.
