West Bromwich Albion, Southampton, Crystal Palace and Brighton and Hove Albion reportedly want Celtic midfielder Stuart Armstrong in the summer transfer window.

Stephen O'Donnell of Kilmarnock vies with Stuart Armstrong of Celtic during the Scottish Premier League between Celtic and Kilmarnock at Celtic Park on May 9, 2018 in Glasgow, Scotland.

Stuart Armstrong is one of the best players in the Scottish Premiership, and there is no surprise that West Bromwich Albion, Southampton, Crystal Palace and Brighton and Hove Albion are reportedly interested in the Celtic midfielder.

According to The Daily Record, Premier League trio Palace, Southampton Brighton and Championship side West Brom are interested in securing the services of Armstrong this summer.

The 26-year-old midfielder is one of the best players in the Scottish Premiership, and the Scotland international does have the quality to play in the Championship or in the Premier League in England.

Stuart Armstrong of Celtic arrives at the stadium prior to the Scottish Premier League match between Celtic and Ranger at Celtic Park on December 30, 2017 in Glasgow, Scotland.

A report in The Daily Record this morning (Transfer Live blog, 08:00am, Tuesday, June 19, 2018), Southampton are ready to make a move for Armstrong after missing out on James Maddison to Leicester City.

It has also been reported that Armstrong could cost around £6 million in transfer fees.

Good deal for Celtic?

Selling Armstrong for £6 million would not be a bad idea from Celtic, especially as they do have cover in the midfield department.

However, the Glasgow giants should try to hold out for more, as with West Brom, Brighton, Southampton and Palace all reported to be interested in the former Dundee United midfielder, the Hoops could get a lot more than £6m should a bidding war start.
