Celtic midfielder Scott Brown says that he was at Ibrox club Rangers when he was a kid.

Brown has been on the books of Celtic since the summer of 2007 when he joined from Hibernian for a transfer fee reported by The Guardian to be worth £4.4 million.
However, the former Scotland international midfielder did try at Rangers after failing to impress Celtic during a trial when he was a kid before eventually finding a place at Hibernian in 1999.
The 33-year-old, who has won the Scottish Premiership title eight times with Celtic, has revealed why he could not make it at Rangers as a kid.
Brown has also revealed that he had a trial at Celtic before he went to bitter Old Firm rivals Rangers.
“As a kid I was at Celtic for a trial but I wasn’t asked back because I was shocking in that game,” Brown told The Daily Record.
“After that I went to Rangers for about a year but they told me I wasn’t growing quickly enough and I was going to lag behind everyone else.
“My mum would drive me back and forward during the holidays. We used to train on the astroturf pitch across from the front door of Ibrox.
“But when they told me I wasn’t going to big enough to make it I wasn’t too upset. I also had interest from Hibs and they wanted to offer me a full time contract as soon as I turned 16.”

Brown is one of the best midfielders in the Scottish Premiership and remains a major figure in the Celtic team.
The 33-year-old midfielder is going strong as ever, and Celtic fans can expect a few more good years from the former Scotland international.
