Celtic’s Scott Brown has been dug out by Paul Lambert slightly.

Paul Lambert has told BT Sport that Celtic midfielder Scott Brown deserves criticism for Paris Saint-Germain’s first goal in Wednesday’s Champions League demolition at Parc de Princes.
It was a sloppy, misplaced pass from Brown which sparked the PSG attack that led to their first goal on nine mintues last night, after Moussa Dembele had given Celtic a shock 1-0 lead inside a minute.
The Hoops skipper was rather erratic throughout the 7-1 drubbing and former Celtic midfielder Lambert believes that he deserves criticism not only for giving the ball away, but also his failure to make a tactical foul.

He said on BT Sport: “That was the first mistake [losing the ball].
“It’s a bit sloppy there, but then he’s got to bring him down, stop the game and then regroup. After that, Neymar, one touch, and goal.”

Brown will have to dust himself down and focus on Sunday now as Brendan Rodgers’s side clash with Motherwell at Hampden Park in a Scottish League Cup final.
The 32-year-old will surely put that performance and result behind him and inspire Rodgers’s side to what will surely be a fourth trophy under the Northern Irishman, who led the club to a domestic treble last term.
Rodgers should have a clean bill of health with the exception of possibly Mikael Lustig, who went off injured in the first half last night.
Nir Bitton dropped into the right-back role and his failure to combat the tricky Neymar shouldn’t be used as evidence that he can’t play there.
