Steven Gerrard’s Ibrox club Glasgow Rangers lost to Neil Lennon’s Celtic at the weekend.

Rangers suffered a 2-1 defeat to Neil Lennon’s Celtic in the Old Firm derby on Sunday afternoon.
The Gers played most of the match with 10 men due to the dismissal of star striker Alfredo Morelos on 31 minutes.
Andy Halliday was also sent off for Rangers after the full-time whistle, as Rangers fell 13 points behind bitter Old Firm rivals and league leaders Celtic.
Brown – who has been on the books of Celtic since the summer of 2007 when he joined from Hibernian for a transfer fee reported by The Guardian to be worth £4.4 million – admitted after the match that Rangers played well in the second half.
Brown said on Sky Sports Football on Sunday afternoon (2:07pm, March 31, 2019) after the match regarding Rangers stepping up in the second half: “Rangers played well, but at the end of the day, we managed to get the three points, and I think that’s all that matters for us.”
Title challenge over?
With Rangers now 13 points behind leaders Celtic, it is hard to see Gerrard’s team catch the Hoops.
Rangers’ chances to win the Scottish Premiership title this season are over, and they now have to make sure that they finish second in the standings.
