Celtic’s Neil Lennon is a fan of goalkeeper Scott Bain.

Neil Lennon is back as interim Celtic manager, landing the job on Tuesday after Brendan Rodgers’ abrupt exit to Leicester City.
Lennon won his first game back as Celtic boss, beating Hearts 2-1 last night, and one of his team selections has summed up the strong position one Bhoys ace now finds himself in.
Under Rodgers, goalkeeper Scott Bain had managed to push himself to the front of the pecking order, usurping veteran Craig Gordon some time ago now.
In Lennon’s first game back, Bain was again named as the starting goalkeeper for Celtic, and his position as first-choice may be even stronger now.
That’s because Lennon actually signed Bain on loan for Hibernian in January 2018, just weeks before cancelling the deal and allowing him to join Celtic in order to take Scott Allan on loan.
Lennon even told The Scotsman in May 2018 that he still wanted to sign Bain on a permanent basis from Dundee, but he chose a permanent stay with Celtic instead.

Now, Lennon finally gets to work with Bain on a regular basis, and his admiration of the 27-year-old suggests that he’ll be Celtic’s first-choice keeper under Lennon, just as he ended up being under Rodgers.
The situation has worked out pretty much perfectly for Bain, and he’ll be hoping to ensure there’s no way for Gordon to get his place back in the Celtic goal.
