Celtic are reportedly interested in signing the red-hot Red Star Belgrade man.

The Daily Mail reported on Friday that Celtic are considering a move for Red Star Belgrade hitman Richmond Boakye.
The 24-year-old Ghana international has 15 goals in 23 games for the Serbian outfit and Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers is seemingly interested.
The Sun reported that Red Star value him at around £10 million, meaning the Scottish giants would have to break their transfer record to nab him.

But if the Hoops’ interest is genuine then it might well suggest that Rodgers has very little long-term vision for Odsonne Edouard at Parkhead.
The 19-year-old French forward joined the Bhoys on a season-long loan from Paris Saint-Germain but has found himself stuck behind Moussa Dembele and Leigh Griffiths in Rodgers’s pecking order, which is understandable.

However, it hardly bodes well for Edouard’s long-term future at Celtic if the Northern Irishman is already scouting other strikers.
Fans might say that you can never have too many good strikers, but four might be overkill, and the signing of Boakye would surely mean that Rodgers won’t sign the teenager on a permanent basis.
