Patrick Roberts joined Brendan Rodgers’s Celtic on loan from Manchester City in the summer of 2017.

Roberts returned to Scottish Premiership club Celtic on a season-long loan deal from Premier League side Manchester City in the summer of 2017.
The 21-year-old winger enjoyed a very good first spell on loan at Celtic Park, but the former Fulham youngster is not having the same luck this time around.
The former England Under-20 international recently returned from a long-term hamstring injury and made his first experience for the Hoops since November 29 this past weekend.

Roberts has admitted that from a personal point of the view, the 2017-18 campaign has not been good for him.
The youngster told The Glasgow Evening Times: “It feels like it has been a really disappointing season from a personal point of view.
“I had hoped to come in and kick on from where I finished off last season but the injuries just knocked me sideways.”

Sympathy for Patrick Roberts
Roberts is one of the best and most talented young players in the current Celtic squad, but injury has affected him this season.
The former Fulham winger has been able to make only six appearances in the Scottish Premiership so far this campaign, scoring no goals and providing three assists in the process, according to Transfermarkt.com.
Celtic fans will have sympathy for Roberts, as he could have had a much bigger impact on the season had he not been injured for so long.
