Celtic right-back Mikael Lustig has suggested on Instagram that he is heading back to Lennoxtown.

The veteran right-back was given an extended break this summer after helping Sweden to a World Cup quarter-final in Russia, losing against England.

But it looks like the 31-year-old is ready to get back into the swing of things at club level after claiming on Instagram that it is “Time to go home.”

And what a timely return it could be by the Swede, who earns £24,000 per week in Glasgow according to The Daily Star.

But Lustig, who has close to 200 Celtic games under his belt, could be an option, fitness permitting. It isn’t ideal, given he is only back from holiday, but desperate times call for desperate measures and it’s only been 20 days since his last 90 minutes.
