Celtic’s Leigh Griffiths looks dejected
Celtic striker Leigh Griffiths has told The Scottish Sun that he expects Rangers to be stronger next season.
Rangers featured in the Scottish Premiership last season after getting promoted from the Scottish Championship at the end of the 2015-16 campaign.
The Gers were expected to compete with Celtic for the league title last season, but the Ibrox outfit could not even finish second in the table.
Pedro Caixinha’s side ended up as many as 39 points behind Brendan Rodgers’s side in third place in the Scottish Premiership last season.
Celtic striker Griffiths, who is one of the best players in his position in Scotland, believes that Rangers will be a stronger team during the 2017-18 campaign.

“I would expect there to be a stronger challenge from Rangers this time — and for Aberdeen to be up there again,” Griffiths told The Scottish Sun about Rangers. “St Johnstone are a consistent top-six team and Hearts and Hibs will also be up there.
“We are under no illusions that the league is going to be tougher, but it’s about what we do. If we are at our best then no one will be able to live with us.”
Celtic have the best and strongest squad in the Scottish Premiership, and it is hard to see them lose the title next season.
The Glasgow giants have some of the best players in Scotland and the best manager in the league in Brendan Rodgers.
