The Bhoys midfielder hasn’t featured since the end of last season.

Celtic midfielder Kris Commons has told STV he felt something he had never felt before during the Bhoys’ 3-3 draw with Manchester City on Wednesday.
Commons has been a Celtic player for coming up six years, making more than 200 appearances in that time.
However, injuries have disrupted the Englishman’s calendar year and he is yet to feature under new boss Brendan Rodgers, ensuring plenty of watching on from the sidelines.
And finally, during this week’s Champions League Group C encounter, Commons grasped what it was like to be a proper Bhoys supporter.
Discussing the game with STV, the 33-year-old said: “There were no injuries or interruptions. There were no yellow cards. The referee just let it flow. It was end to end. It was like you attack, we attack.

“You know what, it was absolutely perfect. It was the first time I’ve ever watched a game and thought, you know what, I am a proper Celtic supporter! I loved it, I absolutely loved it.”
Commons, who joked that despite undergoing two epidurals in his back ‘no babies came out’, also issued an update regarding his fitness.

The former Derby County star said: “I’ve been training hard, feeling fit, feeling athletic. I just need that opportunity now. But the way the boys are playing at the minute it’s going to be hard for me to get back in there.”
The summer arrival of Aston Villa winger Scott Sinclair has perhaps hindered Commons’ chances, as has James Forrest’s revival, having appeared to be on his way out under previous boss Ronny Deila.

City loanee Patrick Roberts and Australian attacking midfielder Tom Rogic have also appeared regularly in Rodgers’ plans this season.
