The Celtic left-back has already scored three goals this season.

Hoops ace Kieran Tierney sat down for an exclusive interview with the club’s official website, and shared how he is well on course to hit the target set for him by Brendan Rodgers at the start of the season.

The 20-year-old has firmly established himself as one of Britain’s most exciting young defenders over the past 18 months or so, but unfortunately for Celtic, his performances have not gone unnoticed, with some of Europe’s elite keeping tabs on him.

Tierney has already made 108 appearances for the Glasgow giants – a quite remarkable feat for someone so young, and he certainly has an extremely bright future ahead of him in the game.

“That’s three goals for the season so far. That’s my new record so I’m happy with that. The gaffer set me a target so hopefully I’ll hit it. I got one goal in my first season, two in my second and now I’m on three so I’m happy with that so far.

Celtic play host to second placed Aberdeen in the Scottish Premiership at Parkhead tomorrow, and Tierney will be hoping to help fire his side to all three points, and subsequently stretch their lead at the top of the table.
