Celtic defender Kieran Tierney has reassured fans about his future with the club.
Celtic defender Kieran Tierney has told BBC Sport that he’s happy with the club having been asked whether they can offer him everything he wants to achieve.
Tierney, 19, has become Celtic’s first-choice left back over the last year, displacing long-serving veteran Emilio Izaguirre from the side last season.
The defender, who was born in the Isle of Man, joined Celtic in 2005 at the age of just seven, and grew up supporting the Bhoys, meaning his debut – which came in April 2015 – really was a dream come true for Tierney.

Now, he’s starring on a weekly basis under Brendan Rodgers, has two caps for the senior Scotland side to his name, and is being linked with moves to some of the biggest clubs around.
The Sun reported last month that both Arsenal and Manchester City have been watching Tierney with a view to making a move to sign him, whilst The Express recently reported that Bayern Munich have even been watching him in action.

Tierney looks destined to reach the top of the game, and Celtic fans shouldn’t be too worried about seeing him leave in the upcoming January transfer window; after all, Tierney is currently out of action with ankle ligament damage, and is only likely to return into the New Year.
Regardless, Tierney has again been asked about his future, despite signing a five-year contract with Celtic over the summer, and the message remains the same from the defender – he wants to stay with the Bhoys.

The teenager told BBC Sport that Celtic had everything he wanted when he was growing up supporting the club, and he still feels the same way – and his injury has even made him appreciate the club more after the support he received following his injury.
“Growing up, they had everything I wanted, and that’s not really changed now,” said Tierney. “I always grew up dreaming of playing for Celtic, there wasn’t another team I dreamed of. I’m really happy where I am, and as soon as this injury happened, it made me appreciate Celtic as well, because everybody around was so supportive, so that’s something you need to remember as well,” he added.
