Celtic boss was asked if he is glad Rangers are back in Scotland’s top tier.

Rangers returned to the top flight in 2016 and were expected to challenge Celtic, but they could only finish third and Rodgers’ side finished the domestic season unbeaten.
So Celtic remain in a position of dominance, and that shaped Rodgers’ response to the question when he was asked if he was glad Rangers are back in the top flight of Scottish football.

He almost dismissed the question, refusing to mention them and commenting that he was not concerning himself with any other clubs.
He said: “If you’re in a race, you never look back, you always look forward.
“The only football club I ever worry about is Celtic.”

Celtic have had a winning start to the 2017/18 season with 10 points accrued from a possible 12.
That has them sitting second but it is Aberdeen who sit top with 12 points not Rangers.
Rangers are in fifth position with seven points, and new boss Pedro Caixinha certainly has a challenge on his hands if he is to get his side ready to challenge Celtic and give Rodgers cause to worry.
The two teams meet later this month on September 23 at Ibrox in their first clash of the season.
