New Celtic signing Boli Bolingoli-Mbombo played against Glasgow Rangers at Ibrox last season.
Ibrox Stadium of Rangers
Bolingoli-Mbombo, who can also operate as a left-winger, has joined Celtic from Rapid Vienna in the summer transfer window for a fee reported by The Scottish Sun to be worth £3 million.
The Belgian played for Rapid Vienna against Rangers at Ibrox in the Europa League last season, as the Gers won 3-1.
During the game between the two sides in Vienna, the left-back also had a bust-up with Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos.
Bolingoli-Mbombo told The Scottish Sun: “That I remember, yes. Some things like this can always happen in football, but it was nothing bad at all.
“I didn’t want to do it because he was a Rangers player or anything like that. It’s just that things like this can happen on the pitch. It was just heat of the moment.
“When I played the game in Glasgow the atmosphere was not bad at all. It was a tough game and you see the level is a little bit higher than in Austria.
“So it was good to play against this team and it means I could see a little of what the competition is going to be like now I am here.”

Tasty Old Firm derbies
With Rangers aiming to challenge bitter Old Firm rivals Celtic for the Scottish Premiership title, the Old Firm derbies next season promise to be hugely entertaining and exciting.
Rangers under manager Gerrard have shown some very encouraging signs, and Celtic will be wary of the threat that the Gers pose for them.
Celtic, though, will start the upcoming 2019-20 campaign as favourites for the league title.
