Calvin Miller has been made a left-back at Celtic by Brendan Rodgers.

Miller had always been played in an attacking role for Celtic’s development squad, but Rodgers spotted his potential as a left-back after taking charge.
The 20-year-old is now learning the new role, and started for the Bhoys in their match against St. Johnstone at the weekend.
Celtic kept a clean-sheet in the contest, but they were unable to break the deadlock, as the two sides battled it out in a 0-0 draw.

And Miller admits that he is still learning the role which Rodgers has given him.
“I have only been playing this position for a year so it’s still new to me and it’s tough. I am learning about it and putting hard work in,” Miller said.
“The manager wanted me to become a full-back, we didn’t have a left back against Man City so I went there.
“I was decent on the ball and stuff but defensively I struggled a bit because I hadn’t played it before.
“I am working on that, I have become more aggressive because you need that playing full-back or wing-back.
“It’s a new position but I think I am getting better at both sides of the game. It is a kind of wing-back role he is asking me to play and I am enjoying it.
“I was one of the most attacking players in the development league so I was quite surprised to be turned into a defender.”

Rodgers’ decision to convert Miller to left-back arguably makes things harder for the prospect to break into Celtic’s team.
Miller is in competition with Kieran Tierney for a place in the Bhoys’ starting line-up, which means he is likely to remain as backup.
Tierney is regarded as one of Celtic’s top players, and has been a key starter since Rodgers took charge.
Celtic are next in action on Thursday evening, when they take on Zenit St. Petersburg in the Europa League.
