Celtic youngster netted for Scotland’s under-19s.

Jack Aitchison of Celtic celebrates scoring during the UEFA Youth Champions League match between Celtic and Valencia at Celtic Park on February 10, 2016 in Glasgow, Scotland.

Celtic prospect Jack Aitchison was on the scoresheet last night for Scotland’s under-19s.

The young striker helped Scotland to a 3-1 win against Poland, connecting to a pass from Rangers winger Glenn Middleton.

Aitchison sent a message on Twitter after Scotland’s win, and praised team captain Elliott Watt.

Watt, 18, made his debut for Wolves earlier this year and he too commented on Twitter after the game to express his excitement at the win.

Aitchison made his debut for Celtic at just 16-years-old and has been on the fringes of the first team since.

Moussa Dembele’s exit could lead to opportunities for him this season and a goal for Scotland’s under-19 side will help his confidence and continue to send a message to manager Brendan Rodgers.

Scotland’s under-19 side face Poland again away from home on Saturday.
