Celtic have made an offer to sign Gamba Osaka midfielder Yosuke Ideguchi ahead of the January transfer window.
That’s according to multiple reports both in Japan and in Scotland as Ange Postecoglou looks to add new faces to his squad.
Japanese website Hochi claim that Celtic have already made an offer for Ideguchi to try and set up a January deal.
The Scottish Sun add that Celtic are keen to add Ideguchi in what could be a triple raid on the Japanese market.
With Kawasaki Frontale’s Reo Hatate and Yokohama F Marinos attacker Daizen Maeda also wanted, Ideguchi could join the Japanese revolution at Parkhead.
Who is Celtic target Yosuke Ideguchi?
Ideguchi, 25, came through the Gamba Osaka academy and bagged nine goals in 95 games for the senior team.
Leeds United swooped to sign Ideguchi in January 2018, but he never made a first-team appearance for the Whites.

After loan spells at Cultural Leonesa and Greuther Furth, Ideguchi returned to Gamba Osaka in 2019.
Now starring in Japan again, Ideguchi has 15 caps for his country and even scored Ange Postecoglou’s Australia in 2017.
An energetic midfielder who has played as a box-to-box midfielder or defensive midfielder, Ideguchi has a ‘touch of malice’ to his game according to Japanese football expert Alan Gibson.
Ideguchi could now add depth to Postecoglou’s Celtic midfield with Ismaila Soro failing to make an impact.
After being let go by Marcelo Bielsa at Leeds, Ideguchi may soon return to the UK with Celtic.
