Celtic winger James Forrest says that Patrick Roberts will add competition in the side.

Celtic winger James Forrest believes that Patrick Roberts’ arrival in the summer will not wreck his chances of playing regularly for his club and country.
Roberts, who previously enjoyed a fruitful 18-month spell at Celtic, returned to Parkhead this summer on a season long loan from Manchester City.
Forrest, the 26-year-old winger, is a key player for Celtic, and has enjoyed an outstanding start to the campaign, scoring crucial goals for the club in Champions League qualifiers against Rosenborg and Astana.

The winger continued his impressive form for his country, producing strong performances for Scotland in their wins over Lithuania and Malta.
Football pundits and former players have celebrated Roberts’ return to Celtic, and the youngster is in line to face Hamilton on Friday night.
Forrest does not believe that Roberts’ arrival will cost him his place. Rather, he feels that there is room for both of them to make vital contributions.

He says that there was “good competition” in the side last season, and expects the same to follow in the present campaign as well.
“It’s good to have Patrick back. At a massive club like Celtic they are always looking to strengthen, and with the amount of games we play, you are always going to need a lot of players in the squad,” said Forrest, as quoted by the Daily Record.
“There was good competition last year, and it’ll be the same this year.”
