According to Sportske Novosti, Celtic could complete the signing of Hajduk Split defender Mario Vuskovic as early as this week.
Ange Postecoglou has now arrived in Glasgow to start his job as Celtic boss, and he will be looking for new signings to bolster his squad.
He must find defenders to strengthen his back line, and it looks like Vuskovic is on the verge of a move to Celtic.
What’s being said about Vuskovic to Celtic?
The Croatian press now state that Vuskovic is ‘about to leave’ Hajduk for a move to Celtic in a deal worth up to €6million (£5.1million).
It’s claimed that the deal could be done this week, with Celtic ‘insisting’ on a deal being done soon even though Hajduk aren’t rushing.
The report adds that Vuskovic will earn around €700,000 (£11,500-a-week) – a stunning raise on his current €85,000 (£1,400-a-week) wages at Hajduk.

Who is Mario Vuskovic?
The 19-year-old defender was born in Split and joined Hajduk from neighbours RNK Split back in the summer of 2016.
Now a first-team player with Hajduk, Vuskovic made 33 appearances for Hajduk last season, bagging two goals and two assists.
Primarily a centre back, Vuskovic will now follow in the footsteps of Jozo Simunovic and Filip Benkovic in being one of Croatian football’s top central defenders before ending up at Celtic.
