Celtic star Moritz Jenz is now considering his Parkhead future after boss Ange Postecoglou snubbed him again. The centre-back has attracted transfer interest from clubs in Germany.
That is according to Sky Sports, which reports Jenz is pondering quitting the Bhoys having fallen behind Yuki Kobayashi. The 23-year-old only moved to Glasgow last summer on loan from FC Lorient. But he is already weighing up his options over eying a permanent transfer.
The Hoops secured an option to buy Jenz in their move to hire the German for the 2022/23 season. Yet Postecoglou has only used the defender during 19 games in all competitions so far. He has also only played in 11 Premiership fixtures and his last outing was in November.

Postecoglou has only named Jenz as an unused substitute in five of Celtic’s seven top-flight games since November 12. He has even left the Berlin-born star out of his matchday squad in two of the Hoops’ last three fixtures. Now, Postecoglou’s decisions could see Jenz leave.
Clubs in Germany are beginning to show an interest in Jenz’s availability for a transfer from Celtic. He has a number of suitors if the ex-Alemannia 06 Haselhorst, SC Siemensstadt and Tennis Borussia Berlin prospect now looks to move back to his homeland after eight years.

Jenz is considering a transfer away from Celtic after Postecoglou’s latest snub
Jenz left Germany to join Fulham’s academy in 2015 before transfers to Lausanne-Sport in 2020 and Lorient in 2021. Now, he could add transfers in 2022 to Celtic and another during 2023 to his CV. But the defender is currently only considering his options to possibly leave.
Postecoglou naming Kobayashi in his matchday squad to face St Mirren on Wednesday has sparked Jenz to begin considering a transfer away from Celtic. The German did not feature in the Hoops’ matchday squad. But Kobayashi started with Cameron Carter-Vickers absent.

Jenz also failed to feature against Kilmarnock in the League Cup semi-finals. He had started in the Round of 16 and quarter-finals. So, having now also not played in seven Premiership matches, Jenz is exploring a transfer away from Celtic following Postecoglou’s latest snub.
The German had impressed the Australian manager following his goalscoring start with the Glasgow outfit. Postecoglou declared, via quotes by Planet Radio, after Jenz scored on his Premiership debut to help Celtic beat Ross County 1-0 on August 6: “Yeah, he was great.
“He has been training well, he has fitted in really well. I keep saying, these guys, you see them on weekends but I see them every day… It was a different game for him.
“There was a lot of contests he needed to win in the air. But he also had a lot of the ball and I really thought he showed some real good composure considering he has only been with us for a couple of weeks. It’s a great way for him to start his Celtic career.”
