Celtic have been linked with a move for the Tottenham Hotspur stopper.

As reported by the Scotsman, Celtic are keen to bring Tottenham Hotspur’s Michel Vorm to Scotland next month, but the Dutchman will surely be seeking first-team assurances when he does finally leave North London.
While some goalkeepers have made a career out of being second-choice, Vorm is so much better than that and, at 34, he should want regular football rather than another prolonged stint on a substitutes’ bench.

As long as Craig Gordon remains at Celtic Park, the Scotland international should be first-choice, while a contract that runs until the summer of 2020 does not bode well for anyone trying to usurp him.
Vorm has done well whenever he has featured for Tottenham, while his days at Swansea City saw him feature 97 times and make his name in the process.
Prior to that he had 158 times for FC Utrecht and it is sad to see him go from regular starter to backup option with barely any chance to prove his worth.

If Rodgers wants Vorm as his first-choice ‘keeper, that is one thing, but that is highly unlikely and the Tottenham fringe star should find a club where he can play out his final few years in the game on the pitch, not just the training field.
There are plenty of clubs where Vorm would start regularly, both in England and Scotland. Unfortunately for Celtic, they are not one of them.
