Celtic have been quiet so far this month, but Neil Lennon may still be keen on adding new signings to try and save his job.

The Bhoys have been dismal so far this season, and sit a huge 21 points behind Rangers at the top of the table, meaning a title win seems out of the question.

Still, maybe Celtic can bring in some players this month to provide a spark heading into next season, and a fascinating rumour emerged in the Czech Republic.

iSport reported on New Year’s Eve that Celtic are keen to sign Sparta Prague winger David Moberg Karlsson, having seen him shine against them in the Europa League.

Sparta beat Celtic 4-1 twice in the group stage, and Swedish speedster Moberg Karlsson was a real thorn in the side.

One moment fans will remember is when Moberg Karlsson picked the ball up in the left channel, danced past Shane Duffy and set up Lukas Julis for a tap-in.

If you look back at that goal, pundit and ex-Celtic man Alan Stubbs raved about Moberg Karlsson on BT Sport, offering a glimpse of what the Bhoys could land.

Stubbs hailed Moberg Karlsson for the way in which he ‘tortured’ defender Duffy, claiming he turned him inside out – and maybe that’s why Celtic are now looking to bring him to Parkhead.

“It’s that man again who’s the instigator of all of it, Moberg Karlsson,” said Stubbs. “He tortures Shane Duffy down that left hand side, he cuts inside and it’s not great defending by Shane, at all. He gets turned inside out,” he added.
