The Celtic defender is hoping to feature against RB Leipzig on Thursday.

Celtic ace Filip Benković spoke to reporters ahead of his side’s critically important Europa League clash with RB Leipzig on Thursday night, and shared how he is hoping to have an impact against the Germans, having missed the two side’s previous clash two weeks ago, as quoted by the Glasgow Evening Times.
The 21-year-old joined the Hoops from Leicester City on a season-long loan deal in the summer, and has really impressed for Brendan Rodgers’ side, making seven appearances in all competitions thus far.
Celtic haven’t been at their brilliant best this season, especially in Europe, and Brendan Rodgers’ men will have to find their very best level, if they are to have any chance of beating Leipzig on Thursday night.
Benković spoke to reporters ahead of the Europa League clash with the Germans, and shared how he is hoping to play a part in the game, as quoted by the Glasgow Evening Times:

“It wasn’t a big injury more like a small scare so the manager and I thought it was better to be safe. I always find it hard to watch. It is much easier to play when you feel that you can do something for the team. Hopefully I will get that chance on Thursday night. If I can do that then I can help us to get the win that we want. But it is important that we concentrate on doing the right things.”
Celtic cannot afford anything other than a win against Leipzig, and Parkhead will undoubtedly be bouncing on Thursday night, as Rodgers’ men look to keep alive their hopes of qualifying for the knock-out stages of the Europa League.
