Celtic midfielder Stuart Armstrong could offer West Ham United boss Slaven Bilic a massive increase in creativity.

According to the Scottish Sun, Celtic midfielder Stuart Armstrong is at loggerheads with the Bhoys over his contractual situation.

Armstrong has just a year left on his current deal at Celtic, and is currently trying to negotiate fresh terms.

The Bhoys are keen for Armstrong to stay, but Brendan Rodgers is finding it difficult to meet his wage demands.

According to the Scottish Sun, Celtic are now warning Armstrong that they won’t be held to ransom by him and as tension mounts West Ham United should test the water by making a bid.

Armstrong enjoyed a wonderful campaign at Celtic last term, and would be a very smart addition for West Ham.

The Bhoys are said to be willing to consider offers of £10 million by The Sun, meaning he is well within West Ham’s price range.

And the 25-year-old would offer Slaven Bilic energy and creativity from midfield.

Armstrong scored 15 goals and claimed seven assists in 31 appearances for Celtic last term in the league, and looks to be one of the finest talents in Scotland.

It has been a frustrating transfer window for West Ham so far. But, for just £10 million, it would be worthwhile making a bid for Armstrong – as his arrival at the London Stadium would significantly strengthen Slaven Bilic’s options.
