Celtic striker praises Rangers forward.
Celtic striker Leigh Griffiths has praised Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos, admitting he looks like a difficult opponent.
Morelos has scored eight goals already this season for Rangers, including six in his last six games.
The Scotland international striker said: “He has started off the season well. He is scoring a few goals and he looks a handful.
“Our centre-halves will need to be on top form to keep him quiet.
“But you know, going the other way, we have got players who can hurt their defence as well so I am sure their centre-halves will be having sleepless nights.”
Griffiths is aiming to start the fixture, and could line up alongside Frenchman Moussa Dembele, who returned to action last week.
Griffiths has scored three goals this season, the third highest so far in the Celtic squad, with Scott Sinclair leading the team with eight strikes, and James Forrest on four.
Celtic’s ability to score goals from all over the pitch is what Griffiths is alluding to, and adding Dembele into the mix as well makes them a fearful opponent – exactly why they have gone the last 56 domestic games unbeaten.
