During an exclusive interview with BBC Sport, Hoops youngster Kieran Tierney lauded the impact that Brendan Rodgers has had at the club since his appointment as manager in the summer, and highlighted the particular area of his game that the Celtic boss has helped him improve.
The Glasgow giants have been magnificent so far this season, on the domestic front at least, and currently hold an insurmountable 27 point lead over second placed Aberdeen.
Their lead is even larger over fierce rivals Rangers, with 33 points separating the Old Firm pair.
And the 19-year-old left-back has played his part in Celtic’s successful campaign, making 22 appearances in all competitions for Rodgers’ side.
He sat down for an interview with BBC Sport, and shared how he has been made into a better player since Rodgers’ arrival at Celtic Park:
Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers
“He’s made me, technically, a much better player. They’ve worked hard on that, him and the coaches, and they’ve just emphasised that I work on a lot of stuff. That’s what I’ve done in training and after training. Touches and passes, I’m working on that, and my crosses as well, so I’m working on a lot of stuff. I’m still young.”
The young defender will now be looking to push on further still, and establish himself fully as Rodgers’ first choice left-back over the next year or so.
And with his undoubted talent, it would take a brave man to bet against him doing just that.
