Celtic midfielder Scott Brown has explained to The Daily Record his celebration against Rangers at Ibrox in the Old Firm derby last month.

Brendan Rodgers’s side got the better of Rangers 3-2 away from home in the Scottish Premiership last month.

After the match, Brown, who has been on the books of Celtic since the summer of 2007 when he joined from Hibernian for a transfer fee reported by The Guardian to be worth £4.4 million, ended up celebrating the win wearing sunglasses in what was quite a cool and bold move, especially as the game was at Ibrox.

The 32-year-old former Scotland international midfielder has explained how he came to be wearing sunglasses after the game.

Old Firm derby

Celtic and Rangers will face each other at Hampden Park this weekend in the semi-finals of the Scottish Cup.

The Hoops will head into the tie as favourites and will be confident of winning it and progressing to the final.

Rangers, though, cannot be written off, as they do have some good players who can make life tough for the Bhoys.
