Celtic defender Josip Juranovic is now reportedly wanted by two Premier League clubs as FC Barcelona remain interested in signing the Croatian international in January.
According to Sky Sports News, two unnamed English clubs are keen on signing the Celtic right-back in January, with Juranovic impressing at the 2022 FIFA World Cup as the Croatian international made it all the way to the semi-finals, losing to eventual winners Argentina.
Juranovic’s performances have since put the defender on the radar for numerous elite clubs around Europe, with Atletico Madrid also interested in signing the Celtic star, yet it is Barcelona that have of course stolen the headlines regarding the 27-year-old.
With Celtic already signing Alistair Johnston as a potential replacement for Juranovic, selling the World Cup star would be a fantastic piece of business from the Glasgow giants, especially if the Scottish champions can recoup a sizeable transfer fee for the defender.

Indeed, Juranovic is in the prime of his career and has shown in recent weeks out in Qatar that he is more than capable of playing at a top level, and interest from the Premier League and Barcelona is a clear indicator that the right-back is set for a big move in the coming weeks.
As for Celtic, they are the main winners from Juranovic leaving no matter which club wins the race for the defender, with the Hoops already landing on a replacement in Johnston as Ange Postecoglou’s side look set to earn quite a bit of cash for their Croatian superstar.
Barcelona signing Juranovic would be massive for Celtic

With Rangers winning big in the transfer market last summer with Calvin Bassey, Celtic having their own success story in January would be quite the result for the Hoops, with Barcelona signing Juranovic likely to bring in one of the biggest transfer fees the reigning SPL giants have ever received.
The Croatian picked the right time to have the tournament of his life, and whilst Juranovic is no doubt ready for a move to one of Europe’s elite, Celtic will stand to be the major winners of the deal should Barcelona come in with an offer next month.
