The Frenchman bagged a hat-trick for the Scottish Premiership champions, but claims there were chances for more.
Celtic’s Moussa Dembele
Moussa Dembele has claimed that he could have scored even more goals during Celtic’s 5-1 thrashing of Rangers during the first Old Firm meeting of the season, the Evening Times reports.
The 20-year-old – who may well have not started had Leigh Griffiths been fit – bagged a treble to inspire Brendan Rodgers’ men to the emphatic victory over their bitter rivals.

But, perhaps surprisingly, Dembele has suggested, after watching his performance back, that he could have made the scoreline even more comfortable.
“It’s never enough; I scored three but I could have had more, I think,” he said, as reported by the Evening Times. “Scoring that hat-trick was something huge because it hadn’t been done for years but you always think you could have improved on what you did.

“I could have scored more against Rangers. I analysed the game and saw things where I could improve. I’m still young and I’m still learning the game and I understand that you cannot have the perfect match.”
While Hoops supporters are unlikely to be particularly bothered by the Frenchman’s claim – given that everything went right for them on the day – they may be pleased to see that the youngster is not getting carried away by his displays.

After a hat-trick against the Gers, the former Fulham man would have been forgiven for revelling in the victory and the achievement somewhat, but instead he decided to analyse his game and pick out areas for improvement.
And if every member of the Bhoys’ squad takes a similar stance and deems that despite their excellent form, they have attributes they need to improve, then it seems difficult to imagine that any team will be able to prevent Celtic winning the title once again.
