Graeme Murty’s Glasgow Rangers will face Brendan Rodgers’s at Ibrox in the Old Firm derby tomorrow.

Much was expected of Joey Barton at Rangers when the former Newcastle United and Queens Park Rangers star arrived at Ibrox in the summer of 2016.
Barton joined Rangers on a free transfer following his departure from Burnley in England and was expected to be a huge player for the Gers.
The former Manchester City midfielder, though, failed to do much of note and left Rangers in November 2016.
The 35-year-old Englishman played in the Old Firm derby against Celtic, but Barton struggled as Brendan Rodgers’s won 5-1.

Ahead of Sunday afternoon’s Scottish Premiership match between Rangers and Celtic at Ibrox, Celtic and Scotland international Callum McGregor, 24, has taken a swipe at Barton.
When asked about Barton’s brief derby career, McGregor told The Scottish Sun: “We didn’t see him again, did we? It is probably the most unforgiving fixture you can play in.”

Important player
McGregor is still quite young, given that he is only 24 years of age, and the Scotsman has established himself as a key player for Celtic.
The midfielder will be important for the Hoops in the Old Firm derby against Rangers at Ibrox on Sunday afternoon.
