Celtic duo Callum McGregor and Scott Brown are important players in Brendan Rodgers’s midfield.

McGregor has been on the books of Celtic since 2001 and has established himself as an important player for the Glasgow giants.
Brown is one of the best and most combative midfielders in Scotland and is a legend at Celtic.
The 33-year-old former Scotland international has been on the books of the Hoops since the summer of 2007 when he joined from Hibernian for a transfer fee reported by The Guardian to be worth £4.4 million.
McGregor has spoken highly of his Celtic teammate Brown and has also joked about the former Hibs star.
“Everybody knows Broony’s reputation,” McGregor told The Scottish Sun. “We see every day how valuable he is to our team and the players in our dressing room.
“Playing in there alongside Broony for the last two or three seasons has really taken my game to a new level.
“He’s always on at me to make tackles and track back for my defensive duties and then get forward and make something happen if we’ve got the ball. He wants me to do everything, basically!”

Quality footballer
Brown is one of the best midfielder in Scotland, and the Scotsman is still going strong despite being 33 years of age.
Celtic are a better side with the 33-year-old in it, and it is not hard to see why manager Brendan Rodgers has made him a central figure in his team.
McGregor has progressed well over the past two seasons under Rodgers, and the 25-year-old Scotland international is only going to get better in the coming years.
