Steven Gerrard’s Rangers side were comprehensively outplayed by Brendan Rodgers’ Celtic yesterday.

Celtic skipper Scott Brown spoke to reporters in the aftermath of his side’s 1-0 win over Rangers, and found time to praise Gers stopper Allan McGregor, labelling the 36-year-old’s display as ‘terrific’, as quoted by the Scotsman.
Brendan Rodgers’ Hoops side jumped up into second place after yesterday’s win, three points adrift of league leaders Hearts, whilst Steven Gerrard’s men fell down to seventh spot.
Celtic dominated Rangers at Parkhead yesterday, and the 1-0 scoreline ended up flattering the visitors, mostly because of McGregor’s performance between the sticks.
And Brown offered high words of praise for the Rangers goalkeeper.
The 32-year-old Celtic ace spoke to reporters, and highlighted how McGregor’s display kept the scoreline at 1-0, as quoted by the Scotsman:

“We have got quality all over the park. We believe if we turn up we can beat anyone – especially at Celtic Park. We’ve beaten them here and over at Ibrox. It is about what we do from now on. It’s not about Rangers. It’s about how well we play. We played well and could have scored a few more goals had it not been for Allan McGregor – I thought he was terrific today.”
Next up for Celtic is a trip to St Mirren on September 14th, whilst Rangers play host to Dundee a day later, and Gerrard’s men will be desperate to bounce back following their Old Firm defeat.
