What would Scott McKenna signing for Celtic mean for Jack Hendry?

Jack Hendry’s Celtic career has not gone as planned so far, with the defender’s performances widely panned by pundits and fans.
The 23-year-old has looked nervous and inexperienced, and the decision to sign him is looking currently like an errant call by Brendan Rodgers.
If Celtic are successful in signing McKenna, it will look like a blow for Hendry, but it could turn out to be exactly what he needs.
McKenna would arrive as a more costly player, and immediately take the pressure off Hendry.
He currently looks like a more complete defender than Hendry, he is more vocal, better in the air, and wise beyond his years at 21.

McKenna is a regular member of the Scotland squad, while Hendry was controversially called up earlier this year, with many feeling he was not deserving.
If Hendry can form a partnership with McKenna at Celtic, then it will only enhance his international credentials.
Far from ending his career at Celtic, Hendry could get a new lease of life if McKenna arrives.
It may mean more time on the bench at first, but when he gets the chance to play alongside the 21-year-old, it could be worth the wait.
