Brendan Rodgers’s Celtic have signed Emilio Izaguirre in the summer transfer window.

Celtic have signed Izaguirre on a one-year contract this summer following the defender’s departure from Al-Fayha.
The 32-year-old left-back has retuned to the Hoops just a year after leaving the Glasgow giants.
The Honduras international left-back was on the books of Celtic from 2010 until 2017, and won the league title with the Hoops as many as six times.
Izaguirre has revealed that he could have moved to MLS this summer instead of joining Celtic.
“About two weeks ago I was talking with the club,” Izaguirre told The Scottish Sun. “It took me one second to decide!
“I had an opportunity to go to the MLS but at the last moment there was Celtic and I said Celtic. I think it is the best decision.”

Good signing for Celtic?
Izaguirre is a good left-back, and there is still enough football left in him as he is 32 years of age.
However, the Honduras international will be a back-up to Kieran Tierney, who is clearly the first-choice left-back at the Glasgow giants.
Izaguirre, though, is an able back-up and will be an asset for Brendan Rodgers’s side this season.
