Celtic should rival Tottenham Hotspur for Leonardo Bittencourt.

It’s no secret that Scott Sinclair hasn’t been anywhere near as lethal for Celtic as he was during his first season at Parkhead.
The 29-year-old scooped the Scottish Premiership Player of the Year award last term after netting 21 league goals for the Hoops, but fast forward almost a year and Sinclair only has nine in the same competition.
With that in mind, Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers could justifiably sign a left-wing option this summer to compete with Sinclair next season and one of Rodgers’s long-term targets has just become available.

According to Kicker, Tottenham Hotspur are weighing up a move for Koln attacker Leonardo Bittencourt, who could be available for only £7 million.
Rodgers wanted to sign the 24-year-old for Liverpool back in 2015 according to Sport Bild and do Celtic have anything to lose in trying to compete with Tottenham?
Turning down Spurs is a massive ask for any player at the moment, but it’s also true that Bittencourt might like the idea of working under Rodgers by virtue of the rumour that he wanted him over three years ago.
Whatever happens with the German, £7 million has to be a very tempting price for the Celtic manager and with Sinclair’s woes this season, Rodgers has little to lose by throwing his hat in the ring.
