Teenager Daniel Arzani has burst onto the scene in Australia, with some touting the winger as one of the top talents to emerge from Australia since Harry Kwell, with clubs now keen to land him.
FourFourTwo report that Ajax, AZ Alkmaar and PEC Zwolle are all interested in luring Arzani to the Netherlands, but a move to Celtic should be appealing for the youngster, and for the club themselves.
Not only has Rogic become a star since his 2012 move from Central Coast Mariners, but Celtic also have a good record with other Australian talents over the years, such as Mark Viduka and Scott McDonald.
Rodgers and co even swooped to sign Austrlaian teenager Leo Mazis earlier this year, and Arzani – who thrived as a substitute for Australia in their 1-1 draw with Denmark in midweek – should also be on their radar.
Celtic should be in the market for another winger this summer given that Patrick Roberts is returning to Manchester City, with Rodgers surely interested in a host of young players with huge potential to fill his boots.
Arzani fits the bill, possessing pace and trickery as well as the room to develop and become a star under Rodgers, whilst a deal shouldn’t break the bank for Celtic, and his versatility to play out wide or up front should mean the Bhoys consider reuniting him with Rogic on the domestic stage this summer.
