Celtic star Scott Sinclair is attracting attention from two Premier League sides, and some Hoops fans may not mind seeing him leave this summer.

It may have surprised some Celtic supporters recently when a report from the Daily Mail suggested that Premier League pair Bournemouth and Brighton are keen to sign Scott Sinclair from the Hoops this summer.

Sinclair has continued his impressive goalscoring record for the Bhoys this season, but his form has been a lot more disappointing, especially in recent weeks and it would hardly be a surprise if some of the Parkhead faithful did not mind the idea of the forward heading back to England at the end of the campaign.

Celtic's head coach Brendan Rodgers talks during a press conference in Brussels on September 26, 2017 on the eve of the Champions League group B) football match against RSC Anderlecht.

That desire to see Sinclair sold probably increased following a report from The Scottish Sun which claimed that the 29-year-old now wants to leave the club to return to the Premier League.

Therefore, Celtic should consider selling the former Chelsea man. But if it looks likely that he is Bournemouth-bound, Brendan Rodgers should ask the Cherries if he can have Max Gradel in return.

Bournemouth signed Gradel for £7 million in 2015 – fee reported by the Daily Mail – but he has never quite been able to live up to that fee at the Vitality Stadium.

He left for a loan spell with Toulouse last summer and has been impressive during his time in France. Gradel – who scored 17 times in 31 games for Saint-Etienne before returning to England three years ago – has scored six times this term and would provide the same sort of versatility that Sinclair currently gives the side.

Gradel is an exciting, feisty forward who should have no problem winning the Hoops supporters over if he did arrive, so perhaps trying to replace Sinclair with the former Leeds man may be a very good move indeed if Celtic attempt to make it happen.
