Celtic should make a move for Manchester City midfielder Fabian Delph in the summer transfer window.
Celtic have the strongest squad in the Scottish Premiership. The Bhoys are set to win the league title by a massive margin this season, and they should be able to repeat their success in 2017-18.
The current Celtic squad, though, could do with some fresh new faces to compete in the Champions League. Brendan Rodgers’s side featured in the group stage of Europe’s premier club competition this season, and they will be aiming to do the same in 2017-18.
The Bhoys will probably be making signings in the summer transfer window, and one player they should look at is Fabian Delph. The England international midfielder may be struggling for playing time at Manchester City, but there is no doubt that he is a quality player.
The 27-year-old proved himself first at Leeds United and then at Aston Villa. City have one of the strongest squads in Europe (on paper at least), and it is not an embossment that the midfielder has been able to play just five times in the Premier League this season.
Delph is creative, dynamic and quick, and he could provide a vital link between the Celtic midfield and attack. It will cost a lot of money for Celtic to sign the Englishman, but they should be willing to break the bank for him.
