Tottenham are linked to Celtic right-back.

ESPN report Tottenham Hotspur have been scouting Celtic defender Anthony Ralston.

Ralston is making a name for himself at Celtic after breaking into the first team at right-back.

The youngster is hoping to follow Kieran Tierney who came through the academy to nail down a regular left-back spot for Celtic and Scotland.

Tottenham are a big draw for players due to coach Mauricio Pochettino and the way they have been trending upwards with their Premier League finishes in recent seasons.

Despite this there is no reason for Celtic to fear their interest in Ralston as anything other than simply due diligence.

Ralston is a top talent, but Tottenham have one of their own, 20-year-old right-back Kyle Walker-Peters, who made his Premier League debut earlier this campaign.

Tottenham also have England right-back Kieran Trippier in his path, as well as new signing from Paris Saint-Germain, Serge Aurier.

That is three credible first team options and Spurs cannot afford to marginalise Walker-Peters’ potential playing time any more than it is already.

Celtic may face interest from Ralston from other teams, but it would be a big surprise if Tottenham followed through their scouring with a bid.
