Celtic goalkeeper Craig Gordon is reportedly wanted by Manchester United in the summer transfer window.

According to The Scottish Sun, Manchester United are interested in signing Craig Gordon in the summer transfer window, and Celtic should not hesitate to sell the Scotland international if they can strike a deal to get former Aston Villa loanee Sam Johnstone in return.
Johnstone is back at his parent club United after spending the 2017-18 campaign on loan at Villa in the Championship.
The 25-year-old goalkeeper was a huge success at the Villans, and was a key reason why Steve Bruce’s side could reach the Championship playoff final.

If United make a move for Gordon, then Celtic should propose including Johnstone in the deal.
The former England Under-20 international is a very good goalkeeper who can play with his feet, stop shots and guide his defence.

With David de Gea one of the best goalkeepers in the world, the 25-year-old is unlikely to break into the United first team anytime soon, and playing for Celtic, winning titles and competing in the Champions League could be attractive to Johnstone.
Gordon is 35 years of age, and although the Scotland international is going strong, selling him and getting Johnstone – who is 10 years younger – would be a smart move for the Hoops.
