Celtic are scouting FC Luzern talent Ardon Jashari as they feel he is a ‘young player with big potential’. But Leeds United and an array of teams are also targeting his possible transfer.
That is according to Pete O’Rourke, who reports the Hoops are monitoring the 20-year-old. Jashari has shot to prominence this term after making the Switzerland squad for the World Cup in Qatar. The Cham-born midfielder also featured in their Round of 16 loss to Portugal.
Fernando Santos introduced Jashari as a stoppage-time substitute for just his second game to date. The Luzern product also only made his Nati debut in September following his U21 bow last March. He has also taken over the club captaincy at his boyhood side this season.

Jashari only enjoyed his Super League breakthrough campaign last season but has already established an important presence at the Swissporarena. After 17 Swiss top-flight matches last term, he has featured in 15 this season. He has also started all of his 2022/23 outings.
The only blot on his copybook this season came in Luzern’s opening league match away to FC Zurich. Jashari received a red card in the 91st minute following two yellow cards in a 0-0 draw. He has since given four assists and played all but nine of the 1,260 minutes available.

Leeds are also interested in a transfer for Celtic target Ardon Jashari of FC Luzern
But Celtic are not alone in showing an interest in Jashari’s transfer from Luzern given their appreciation for his potential. Sky Germany, which also cites the Hoops as a suitor, reports that Leeds, SSC Napoli, RB Leipzig and Eintracht Frankfurt are also exploring a winter raid.
It further adds that Jashari is likely to leave Luzern in January for €6-7m (£5-6m) as the 5 ft 11 gem is under contract until 2026. Also, Sky Germany recently claimed that the Leuchten product wants to leave the Swissporarena and could appreciate a move to the Bundesliga.
Wolfsburg’s sports director Marcel Schafer has also convinced himself of Jashari’s qualities after he featured at the World Cup. While TSG Hoffenheim have also shown an interest in making a bid. But their interest trails that of RB Leipzig and Eintracht Frankfurt in Germany.
