The Hoops have been training in sweltering heat during their pre-season programme in Austria.

Celtic captain Scott Brown has admitted that the club’s players have found it hard training in particularly hot weather during their pre-season training camp in Austria (official Celtic website).
However, the Hoops legend stressed the importance of getting through it, saying the team has played away during European away days in temperatures of around 35 degrees celsius and they had to get on with it.
Neil Lennon is putting his players through their paces as they gear up for another long season which begins in July with the Champions League qualifier against FK Sarajevo of Bosnia and Herzegovina and will likely see the club fighting on four fronts – the three domestic competitions plus Europe.
Brown believes that the sweltering conditions in Austria were exactly what was needed for the treble Treble winners to maximise their training ahead of the two-legged tie as well as the various friendlies coming their way.

“Training in this heat is hard but it’s what we need to do,” the 34-year-old told the official club website. “In some games in the Champions League and qualifiers, we’ve been away and it’s been 34 and 35 degrees and we’ve had to play through it.
“That’s been hard but that pressing mentality is something we try to enforce as much as we can. That’s what we’re here for, to try and get as fit as possible in the next couple of weeks.”
In terms of pre-season friendlies, Celtic will play SC Pinkafeld on June 26, Wiener SC on June 29 and FC St Gallen on July 2 (official club website).
