Manchester City’s Fernando in action with Aston Villa’s Scott Sinclair
According to The Scottish Sun, Brendan Rodgers wants to reunite with Aston Villa winger Scott Sinclair at Celtic in a possible £2m deal.
Rodgers was appointed as Celtic boss last month following Ronny Deila’s departure, but has yet to make a signing for the club a month since his arrival.

Fans are keen to see the Northern Irishman strengthen his squad, especially with the Champions League qualifiers around the corner – and now a top target appears to have emerged.
The Scottish Sun report that Rodgers has set his sights on Aston Villa winger Scott Sinclair, having previously worked together at Chelsea and Swansea City.

Sinclair, 27, hit six goals in all competitions last season in a difficult campaign for Villa as the suffered relegation to the Championship, and a full-scale overhaul of the squad is expected this summer.
Rodgers is hoping to take advantage of that, and has reportedly made Sinclair his top target as he is desperate to reunite with the winger yet again.

Having worked together in the youth setup at Chelsea, Rodgers then signed Sinclair at Swansea, with the winger hitting 36 goals in 91 games for the Swans before earning a big move to Manchester City in the summer or 2012.
His career has been nosediving since, and Rodgers is now keen to reunite with Sinclair and get the best out of him once again, with a £2m bid allegedly already submitted by the Bhoys in an attempt to land Rodgers’ priority target.
