Celtic are set to hand a Kristoffer Ajer new contract, according to The Scottish Sun.
It has been reported that discussions have been held over a new deal for the 19-year-old central defender.
The Glasgow giants are claimed to want to extend the youngster’s contract beyond 2020, with the report also stating that talks between Celtic chief executive Peter Lawwell and Ajer’s agent Tore Pedersen are set to continue.

Great decision
It would be a fantastic decision for Celtic to hand Ajer a new deal, given that the Norwegian has established himself in the Glasgow giants’ first team and has steadily improved.
The youngster is still young and developing, but there is no doubt that the 19-year-old has improved since his move from Start.

Ajer played well for Celtic in the Old Firm derby against Rangers at Ibrox last weekend, and rewarded him for his performances this season would be smart from the Hoops.
Celtic fans should be excited at the prospect of watching Ajer play for the Hoops in the long run, as he has the potential to be superb player for the Glasgow giants in the long run.
