Celtic are reportedly set to scout Panathinaikos versus Olympiakos today.

According to Madata in Greece, Celtic will be scouting today’s bitter derby between Panathinaikos and Olympiakos this evening.
Sitting pretty much between the closure of the January transfer window and the opening of the summer window, you would think that transfer rumours would be taking a back seat.
Yet scouting continues all around the world ahead of summer business, and Celtic are no different in attempting to identify targets for the end of the season.
Madata claim that Celtic – along with Anderlecht, Fenerbahce and Norwich City – will be sending scouts to watch today’s derby between Panathinaikos and Olympiakos.
Fans will be left wondering just who Celtic could be looking at for a potential move, but one player stands out from the rest – Olympiakos full back Omar Elabdellaoui.
As reported by the Daily Record, Brendan Rodgers wanted to bring Elabdellaoui to Parkhead to finally solve his right back problems, but no deal could be done.

With Lee Congerton still at Celtic, he may well be taking over the interest in the Norwegian, even with Rodgers now gone and moved on to Leicester City.
Elabdellaoui would still be a major signing at right back for Celtic, and an impressive display tonight in such a hostile atmosphere may just be another tick next to his name, with the 27-year-old right back surely the main player being watched by the Bhoys.
