Celtic have been linked with RB Leipzig defender Marvin Compper in the January transfer window.

Celtic are close to signing Marvin Compper from RB Leipzig, according to The Daily Mail.
It has been reported that the German defender is poised to become the first signing of the January transfer window for Scottish Premiership giants Celtic.

The 32-year-old was in Glasgow on Thursday and was offered a tour of Celtic Park before he flew back to Germany, it has been reported.
According to The Daily Mail, Celtic will pay £900,000 to Leipzig as transfer fees in order to secure the services of the German centre-back.

Compper is a very experienced centre-back, and the defender would be a good addition to the current Celtic squad, especially if the Bhoys have to pay less than £1 million for him
The German, though, is ineligible to play in the Europa League this season, but the centre-back would be a key player in the Bhoys’ quest to book their place in the group stage of the Champions League next season.
