Citfci has been released by Celtic a year before the end of his Hoops contract.

Celtic attacker Nadir Ciftci has seen his Hoops contract terminated a year before it was set to expire after Brendan Rodgers decided that the forward had no future at Celtic Park – but Rodgers should not stop there.
Ciftci, 26, has spent the season on loan at two different clubs, beginning the campaign down south with Plymouth Argyle before returning to Celtic and joining Motherwell on loan until the end of the season.
But the former Dundee United striker has so far failed to earn a permanent move away from Celtic with a year still set to run on his contract. It has seen Rodgers look to enhance his chances of winning a transfer, by making him a free agent.

But Rodgers should not stop there, and consider doing the same with Costa Rica international Cristian Gamboa, who is set to face England on Thursday afternoon at Leeds United’s Elland Road.
Gamboa joined Celtic from West Bromwich Albion during Rodgers first transfer window as manager in the summer of 2016, but he has failed to have a strong enough impact required of him north of the border.

He managed just three senior appearances for the Hoops last season, one of which came against Bayern Munich with Mikael Lustig, James Forrest and Jack Hendry all used on the right side of defence instead of Gamboa.
Now, the right-back has a year remaining on a contract the Daily Star claim is worth £15,000 a week, and Rodgers should consider giving him the same treatment as he did with Ciftci in order to whipe his pay packet off the wage bill.
